Lacrosse fans -
We're only a few weeks away from our Spring 2021 season! While we are still working to finalize many details, here is how things are shaping up:
1) Practice Schedule - The Kindergarten boys (6U) will either practice on Mondays or Wednesdays (TBD - only one practice per week) at the Dondero School in Portsmouth. Practice will be 5:30 to 6:30pm. The 1st and 2nd grade boys will be there at the same time, too. The first practice is weather dependent and is TBD. Once the Dondero School is released for field usage, we will let you know. This will probably be in the next few weeks.
2) Game Schedule - The kindergarten boys will play each other through an in-house scrimmage on Saturday mornings. The first scrimmage is tentatively scheduled for Saturday April 10th and the last scrimmage of the season will be on Saturday June 5th. We will play on Saturday mornings at home (Dondero School). We will scrimmage every Saturday morning from April 10 to June 5. The detailed season schedule will be available by April 1st.
3) Coaches - We have a great group of coaches this year, including two coaches that have several years of coaching experience. Adam Bottrill, Chris Russo, and Todd Whitcomb will all be working with the boys this year.
4) COVID - This year, we will all be wearing masks at all times - even on the field. We will share the club COVID protocols before the season starts.
5) Uniforms - There is no need for a uniform at the Kindergarten level. We will provide your player with a reversible pinnie they can keep - and should wear to every practice and scrimmage - at the first practice.
6) Gear - Dicks is having another 20% off sale next weekend. The coupon is posted on our homepage. The boys will be required to wear full gear - Stick, Helmet, Gloves, Shoulder Pads, Arm Pads, and a Cup. Cleats are recommended, but not required. Soccer cleats are fine. Play it Again also has a good selection of used gear.
Thank you for your patience as we iron out the remaining details for the season. We are all excited to get back out on the field and are grateful that the 2021 season is looking good so far. Please let me know if you have any questions - otherwise, stay tuned for information.
Thank you and Go Seacoast!!
