U14 Girls Help Needed Sunday!
by posted 04/08/2021

Good morning (again),

Sorry for the second email.  We are looking for volunteers Sunday for our game, a scorekeeper, time keeper and a field marshal.  The field marshal will take everyone's temperatures before entering the field, ensure there are only two spectators per player and ensure all home spectators (Seacoast) are sitting on the right side of the bleachers and the away spectators (Abenaki) are sitting on the left side of the bleachers.

We will need volunteers for all home games but as I do not have a full schedule so only this Sunday's game appears on the signup sheet.  We will include this link in our weekly emails going forward when we have home games.

Below is the link if you would consider helping out, thank you in advance for your support!!

Also - practices are held at Maloney Field in Greenland (same as we have been practicing at), I had the incorrect name in my other email.

Thanks,

Jill

Good morning,

Hope the girls are as excited to be back on the field as we are, we are looking forward to a great Season!

As we are officially under way I wanted to give you a heads up on my usual process for communication etc. Feel free to reach out whenever with any questions or concerns.

Scheduling

*Practices will be Monday and Wednesday's in Greenland at Mallory Rec Field.

*Should there be a cancelation due to weather, a makeup practice will be held Saturday morning.

*Games are always played on Sunday, until we get towards the end of the Season at which point we might have a makeup game on a different day of the week.

*The League and Seacoast is working diligently at finishing the Game Schedule for the Season, as soon as it is posted I will forward along in a seperate email but please understand the schedule is fluid, especially given COVID.

Communication

*We plan to send one email per week on Thursday to lay out the upcoming week's schedule.

*Should there be a change in schedule we will let you know as soon as we do, we know everyone is busy!

*Weather cancelations will be determined by 3pm on the day of practice.  If you do not hear that we are canceling practice due to weather prior to 3pm, we are holding practice.

*Should your daughter not be able to make a game or a practice please notify us as soon as you know as we do not have a very large roster.

Upcoming Schedule

Sunday, April 11th - GAME at Portsmouth High School (50 Andrew Jarvis Drive, Portsmouth) at 1pm against Abenaki.  Please have your daughter to the field, dressed, uniform on, ready to play, at 12:15 pm.  I am guessing the game is being played on the turf, cleats or sneakers are allowed.  Please confirm your daughter has a mouthguard, goggles, mask and uniform prior to arriving at the field.

Jill

Good Afternoon LAXJAM Participants, Programs, and Families,

It is that time, we are just 4 days away from our 2nd Annual Town Lax Jamboree! After the letdown of having to cancel last year's event, everyone is excited to be back in 2021! For many of these players, this will be their first opportunity to play some competitive lacrosse! We want to remind everyone that this event is strictly a town event, the goal behind LAXJAM is for kids to get playing time, coaches to get a feel for their teams before the official start of the season, and families to have some fun cheering on their kids!

All information for Saturday’s event can be found below, please make sure that you read through all the information.

1.  COVID-19 GUIDELINES:

*All players, coaches, referees, and spectators are required to wear a mask when walking around the facilities. The only exception is for players when they are on the field of play (outdoor fields only). PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE FACILITY WEARING YOUR MASKS!

*When you arrive all players/coaches will go through the check-in desk and must follow the following:
-Pass the Covid-19 Pre-Screening questions listed in the SPRING COVID-19 TOURNAMENT PROCEDURES prior to entering the facilities.
-Enter the outdoor fields with a maximum of 2 spectators per player. Spectators must arrive with the player. No spectators will be allowed in the facilities without a player. All players and spectators will be stamped.
-Enter the indoor fields with a maximum of 1 spectator per player.  Spectators must arrive with the player. No spectators will be allowed in the facilities without a player. All players and spectators will be stamped.
-We ask that in between games all teams and spectators exit the field immediately after their game ends. (Unless playing immediately on the same field for the next game)
-Indoor field will have all doors open to circulate air and allow for anyone exiting the building to exit out the side doors. We ask that no one enter the building through any of the side doors, only enter through the main doors near Field 1. LOOK FOR THE TENT!

FOR A COMPLETE LIST OF ALL COVID-19 PROCEDURES PLEASE VISIT THE

 2. GAMEPLAY:

*All teams will play 3 games consisting of 2, 12.5-minute quarters with a running clock. *Players are not required to wear masks during their scheduled outdoor games. MASKS ARE REQUIRED OTHERWISE.

*Coaches are required to wear masks.

*We ask that players and spectators keep in mind the schedule for the day when entering and exiting the fields

Click on the SCHEDULE LINK to view the completed schedule for all teams.

3. PLAYER WAIVERS:
All players should have received a player invitation to their respective teams. When receiving the invite please complete the registration process. This registration process takes each player through the waiver process, no additional fees are charged and no payment is required. Without a completed player waiver, players will not be allowed on the field. WE DO NOT WANT TO TURN PLAYERS AWAY WHEN THEY ARRIVE.

 4. VENDORS:
*LAX.COM will be at the event with a pop-up store selling gear. They will also have Splash Sheilds for sale that go over the helmet. This works in place of a mask.

*MAVERICK LACROSSE will be at the facility showing off some of their new gear coming out, as well as raffling off a new Helmet.

*UNITED STATES AIR FORCE will be on site with some cool stuff for the kids!

*Our FOOD VENDOR recently had to cancel on us, we are working on getting someone else in but please be prepared just in case.

We look forward to hosting everyone and appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate through an event with COVID restrictions still in play. Saturday looks to be a great day for lacrosse, mid 50’s and the sun will be shining!!!

LaxJam Schedule - April 3rd
by posted 03/28/2021

Good morning,

Just wanted to touch base on a few things as the Season is about to get underway.

I hope to know more about the Season practice schedule etc at the end of this week, as soon as I have more information I will pass it along.

LaxJam is this coming Saturday, April 3rd! We hope that everyone who has let me know they are able to play is still able to join.  If you know anyone else who might be interested please reach out to me, we would love a few extra girls still.  Our schedule is as follows:

8:00 am Field 4

8:30 am Field 4

10:00 am Field 4

All games are at the Epping Seacoast facility, 88 Shirkin Road, Epping.

I am going to ask that everyone arrive at 7:30 am ready to play since we do not know anyone it would be good to do introductions with the Girls and get a sense of positions etc.  I will be wearing a maroon Seacoast Lacrosse sweatshirt and will be on Field 4 as I believe 8 am is the first game so we should be able to warm up for a few.

Please have the Girls wear black shorts/pants and their Seacoast jersey, if you need a jersey please reach out to me and I will try to have a few extra.  Everyone needs to wear a mouthguard, fabric face mask that goes over their ears and goggles.  If you have not been to Seacoast, the fields are turf so they can wear cleats or sneakers.  The tournament is rain or shine, please dress accordingly.

If you have not signed the waiver, I have included the link below, please do so by Monday, March 29th.  Please do not pay via the link.  I will divide the total cost between all players that show up on Saturday so it is fair and will accept cash or venmo.

Looking forward to starting the Season!

Seacoast Lacrosse Update
by posted 03/03/2021

Good afternoon,

Just wanted to send a quick update as the Season is approaching.  The League is still in the process of pinning down fields for practices, as soon as I have more information I will pass it along.  Tentatively the first games are scheduled for the weekend of April 10th/11th but this is dependent upon field conditions, fingers crossed for a dry next few weeks!

Practices will (hopefully) be Monday and Wednesday, time to be determined depending on our location.  We always try to hold two practices a week so we will use Saturday morning as our makeup practice should the rain hinder our ability to hold practice during our regularly scheduled time.

We are entered in LaxJam (April 3rd), there are two more weeks for teams to register and then they will be announcing a schedule and location for each time.  We would love 2-3 more girls to join us, please send me an email if you might have someone interested!

Thanks,

Jill
