Change Team:
SCHEDULE CHANGE THIS WEEK!!!
by posted 05/23/2022

Hello Sixers!!

So sorry on the short notice, but we were finalizing this week schedule changes.

We will have practice today from 5:30-6:45 as normal!

Portsmouth High School senior night is also tonight at 6:45pm, originally, we were planning on going to this rather than practice, but it got moved to later in the night. I know a lot of Seacoast teams will be going in support of the 2022 Seniors. We welcome anyone to go to the game after practice ith their friends/families!

On Wednesday, we will not have practice!!! Instead, we will be going to the Portsmouth high School One Love Game. The One Love Foundation educates young people about healthy and unhealthy relationships, empowering them to identify and avoid abuse and learn how to love better. Attached you will see a flyer that has more details about how you can support this foundation. This is an amazing foundation and one I have supported through my lacrosse years. It will also be fun to watch this game because Jojo (PHS’s varsity coach) is going to be coaching against her sister McKinley (who is from GSE and the varsity coach at Sougehgan HS).

What to expect that night: Wednesday May 25 (One Love Game)

5:10pm: Arrive (meet me at the snack shack)

5:20pm: Tunnel- our girls would bring their sticks and wear the white side of their jerseys and form a tunnel with their sticks on the field for the varsity players to run through when their names are announced.

5:30pm: Watch the Varsity game

5:45-6:00pm- Eat Pizza and Dessert

6:00pm ish- Watch our kids from 10U play a mini- game at half-time

6:15pm- feel free to watch the rest of the game or leave

I hope that you have enough time to plan to come to this event, it is cool for all ages to see each other and how many of them are part of this amazing sport!

Please follow the link below and let us know if your daughter can come and eat some pizza with us.  We are asking you to RSVP through this link so we will know how many pizzas to order.  If you feel like you can contribute and drop off a dessert as well, that would be great.

Important Change About this Week-Please Read Carefully
by posted 05/21/2022

Hi Everyone-

I know there has been a little confusion over the events of this week, so I am hoping to spread some clarity.  Originally, we were going to celebrate Senior Night on Monday May 23.  HOWEVER, there has been some bussing issue, and now the senior night game will not begin until 6:45/7:00pm.  We feel that is too late for many of our families, so we are switching our support for PHS to Wednesday night the One Love Game!  So this week there is one really important date to attend (if you can attend both, great, but we really want you there on Wednesday, May 25).  The details are below:

I hope that you have enough time to plan to come to this event. Even if you count it as practice (I know some of you practice during this time), it is cool for all ages to see each other and how many of them are part of this amazing sport!

Please follow the link below and let us know if your daughter can come and eat some pizza with us.  We are asking you to RSVP through this link so we will know how many pizzas to order.  If you feel like you can contribute and drop off a dessert as well, that would be great.

Since we have had to switch dates, if you cannot make it, can you please go into the sign-up genius and delete your child from the list.  If you CAN make it now, and have not signed up, can you please RSVP on the link so we can make sure we have enough pizza to feed everyone.  If you feel like adding to the dessert, drop off, please feel free to do so.  We love desserts!

NOT A DROP OFF EVENT for younger kids-

I also want to be clear that this is not a drop off event for our younger kids, grades K-4.  Kids in grades K-4 need to have an adult with them at the field.  The coaches are not responsible for watching your kids.  Parents if you feel comfortable dropping your 5-8 graders off and picking them up later, you may do so.

This is going to be such a great game.  The two head coaches on each team are sisters!  PHS’s head coach is Jojo and Soueghan’s head coach is McKinley.  The JV are playing right before them varsity.  I will be there to watch this game as well.

Thanks for being so flexible!

Meg
